Marc Bluhm hat sich als Fotograf dem dokumentarischen Erzählen verschrieben.
Nachdem er aus einer Kleinstadt nach Berlin gezogen war - wo er heute immer noch lebt und vorwiegend arbeitet - , um dort eine Ausbildung zum Schauspieler und später auch zum Synchronschauspieler abzuschließen, entdeckte er nach und nach die Fotografie als eine weitere kraftvolle und vielschichtige Art, menschliche Geschichten zu erzählen.
Die Schauspielerei brachte ihm bei, wahrhaftige Emotionen für andere erlebbar zu machen. Die Fotografie ist für ihn die Suche nach diesen echten Momenten in anderen.

Marc Bluhm is a photographer dedicated to the documentary style.
After moving from a small German town to study acting and later voice acting in Berlin - where he is still based - he discovered photography as another layered and powerful way of telling human stories.
While acting taught him how to find and portray the genuine and raw emotion from within, his photography is the search for these moments in others.

Der Hochzeitstag ist ein entscheidender und immens wichtiger Moment im Leben eines Paares. Ich möchte dabei all die kleinen Augenblicke und Gesten von Familie und Freunden einfangen, die so nur einmal stattfinden und die Erinnerung daran später umso lebendiger werden lassen. Die Aufregung der Kleinen, während sie Slalom zwischen den Beinen der Erwachsenen laufen - die Begrüßung und Umarmung des Trauzeugen, währenddessen er dem Bräutigam einen Witz ins Ohr flüstert - oder die Tränen und das herzliche Lachen der Braut und ihrer Brautjungfern, ausgelöst durch die Erinnerung an ein vergangenes Gespräch. All diese Augenblicke möchte ich so einfangen, wie sie geschehen. Ich möchte sie weder stören, noch Einfluss auf sie nehmen. Ich möchte, dass ihr diesen großen Tag absolut frei und glücklich erlebt.

The wedding day is a pivotal and immensely important occasion in a couple’s life.
My aim is to witness the moments and small gestures between friends and family that only happen once and make the memory so special. The kids excitement, racing through an imaginary obstacle course of grownups legs - the greeting and hug from the best man, whispering a joke in the groom’s ear - or the tears and joyful laughter of the bride and her bridesmaids when thinking back to a certain conversation they had. I want to capture these instances as they happen and not stage them or interfere with them so you are able to just enjoy and celebrate this momentous day as freely and happily as possible.
